whats on the STEREO?

This coming Saturday is the annual Stereosonic festival in Melbourne. With acts such as Deadmau5, The Bloody Beetroots, Axwell, The Bag Raiders and the Crookers, let's just say i am a little bit excited. One problem, i am yet to decide what to wear, but i will keep ypu informed.

What Is Victoria's Secret.

From what i have seen, and heard from the newest Victoria's Secret Show, i am in awe. It just looks like the most fun and the girls who represent really are the most beautiful on earth. We have to wait until December to see the show in Australia, but here is a little behind the scenes video and pictures on the theme of the show. Do they not just have the best job ever.

Episode 9 Season Three featured an amazing band called the Plasticines, what made these girls even more amazing was the fact that the lead singer ( Katty, shes too cool for a last name) was rocking a Balmain inspired dress, and the amazing hair they all own...Bangs anyone. Toi et Moi- You and Me,

Bonjour, it was love at first sight, that being me finally finding the new range from fashion label Toi et Moi, which apparently hit stores in August, but was yet to be seen by little old me. The label is a spin off from Milk and Honey ( LOVE ) designer Gill Lawrence, and is a refreshing blend of French influences and Parisians twists, mixed with a little bit of Aussie street style cred. Expect vintage denim, tie die, camisoles, skirts and tee's. The places i have seen selling the lovely little pieces are Into The Max ( Lygon St Melbourne ) and Denim and Thread ( High St Reservoir). Enjoy.

Oh Lady Gaga, what will you do next? i wouldn't call myself a 'fan' of the crazy person we call Lady Gaga, but her new video for Bad Romance screams style. Gaga enlisted Alexander McQueen as her right hand man for the video and she features his shoes from his PLATO ATLANTIS show. Seriously though, this clip is amazing.

What Recession? Thanks to the good ol' Aussie dollar being about 96 cents to the American dollar, online shopping never felt better. I thought i would share with you a little online find i recently got a little too excited about.
Summer has come with a vengeance ( sorry northern hemisphere ) and we are always searching for bathers and bikinis that no one else has, cue Victoria's Secret Swimwear section. i picked up some beautiful bathers ( well they looked great on Miranda Kerr) for about $50 AUD with postage and handling. yo Uni, see you in March.

Oh the life of a Uni student. Go to a few classes a week, do a few exams and assignments and hey presto, you have 4 months off. This was the 'celebratory drinks' outfit i wore out on the weekend, skirt from finders keepers and cropped tee from kenji and thrifted bag.

I am a constant believer in, it's not WHAT you wear, it's HOW you wear it. This lovely lady is wearing the classic vintage band tee with denim shorts, but she pulls it off with individuality. It's okay to take inspiration from someone's look, just don't copy the style completely, make it your own. Isn't that what fashion is about anyway?
